Becoming a carer:
Becoming a wildlife carer can be extremely rewarding and is an amazing way to learn about the diverse species of birds, mammals and reptiles sharing our backyards and neighbourhoods.
Carers also become general ambassadors and educators for the general public and broader community. Wildcare offers training courses for new carers, as well as a mentor program to allow experienced carers to share their knowledge and experiences with newcomers.
You will need a Wildlife Carer's Permit from Parks and Wildlife Commission NT, and need to complete a wildlife report release form for each animal in your care. You can find these documents on our documents page
